Mind Management
A lot of people spend a lot of time managing their time, money, schedules, tasks, people, situations, relationships, and the behavior of those around them WITHOUT realizing the one thing that creates ALL of those problems can be solved with proper mind management.
I can relate so well to this because I used to be that person. Consumed in the stress and chaos around me and trying to manage all the wrong things–if I’m being totally honest I still fall into that pattern from time to time. It’s funny how easy it is to get caught up trying to manage people, places and things that I need to look within and begin managing the one thing that impacts my life the most and that’s my own dang mind.
My inkling is the same is true for you.
I love talking about mind management because it’s the thing that determines the outcomes in your life and I’m super passionate about you living a truly incredible life.
When I say your mind is your most powerful influence on your life, I’m also inviting you to NOT take my word for it. Go on and investigate this for yourself. It’s actually REALLY important that you do the work to prove this to yourself.
When you prove to yourself how influential your own mind is then you’ll practice mind management in a new way that moves you into a position of authority and gives you so much freedom and sovereignty in your own life.
Listen on to find out how to investigate your own mind and how you can gain access to the full capacity of your own beautiful and powerful mind so it works for you!

Hello? Hello? Hello. Hello friends. How are you? I am talking today about mind management and. The reason why I'm talking about mind management is because I think we, if focused, managing everything, but that right, we focus on managing our time. We focus on managing people, situations, relationships, behavior. We are managing all their own things and we end up so freaking frustrated because we're managing all the wrong shit. So let's dispel all of our problems and start managing the one thing that actually contributes to all of it. And that is our mind. I love talking about mine management. Let me tell you why, because it is the thing that determines the outcome of your life. Now we've all heard the phrase, thoughts become things and. This was something the first time I thought that I was like, yeah, but really? And if so, how, like, how does that make any sense? And I now realize as I've done more work on my mindset on mind training, I have. Proven this to myself. And I have seen this in my students and my clients that how we orient our minds, how we manage our own minds, truly determined our experience of life and the results that we see. And. At first, I had to prove this to myself. I am a skeptic and a little bit of a cynic, especially when I'm stressed and I. Really had to hear this several times. And I am so grateful to the recovery community because I probably would not have discovered the deep truth and power of mind management. If I hadn't stumble into the rooms of alcoholics anonymous. And having been raised, in very stressful conditions. What seemed stressful to me as a highly sensitive person as a neurodivergent person. I grew up in an environment where I felt like I didn't fit in. This was a very stressful experience for me. And. Until I started doing nervous system training. I did not fully appreciate what impact this had on my nervous system and how that impacts my ability to even manage my own mind. First of all. I started to realize that my thinking was my problem, and I got been fiercely curious about this. How big of a problem, how big of a problem is my mind? Really? I mean, look at what I've accomplished in my life. Not everybody's a surgeon. Let's be real. My mind is pretty damn good. Had myself convinced of that fact. And yes, I had intellectual power, but I did not harness the real intelligent power of my mind. Until I was invited to consider the power of my mind. I was invited to consider that my mind and my thinking is really my problem. And I was invited to pray and meditate, which I thought was an insane suggestion. I was like, do you see what's happening in my life right now? I do not think that your whole prayer and meditation game is going to fix the mess. That is my life right now, but I did it anyway. Because that's the gift of desperation, right? When you're desperate, you do what seemingly intelligent people or what, you know, these people have their life together. You know, they were going places, doing things. And so I started to listen and I became really interested in this, like what phenomenon is taking place here in prayer and meditation. And as I explored this deeper, I discovered, oh, this is nervous system balance. This is a deep abiding trust sense of belonging, wholeness, clarity, emotional equanimity. Like my emotions were all over the place. I was angry. One minute exhausted. The next I was cycling between highs and lows at a rapid clip. I found a S like a modicum of peace and space. And in that was such a gift. Now I could think now I could actually manage my own mind. And you guys, this led me onto a fascinating discovery that when my brain is stressed and it's, I. Stress-based neurocircuitry is embedded in me from the moment I was born. Some of us grow up in very stressful environments and this pre-conditions us to things like anxiety, stress, disturbances, stress-related phenomenon. But I call it a trigger, happy, nervous system where other stimuli that's not necessarily stressful to other people was stressful to me. And before long, when that stress-based neurocircuitry is fired again and again, and again, it moves all of the metabolic, energetic resources of the brain. Out of the frontal cortex and back into the sort of central core regions of the brain, which are also referred to as this reptilian brain. And that part of the brain is really the survival brain. It thinks in very short terms, it, it tends to make. Territorial defensive, competitive, aggressive. There's no long-term planning. There's no long-term thinking. And we start acting from this part of the brain. We start perceiving the world through this part of the brain. We start thinking from this part of the brain and we're processing the information from the outside world through this region of the brain and shit goes down. My friends. No good action. Come from living in this space. And when we're experiencing chronic levels of stress or high levels of stress for any period of time, we can begin running on autopilot on this stress based neurocircuitry that turns us quite frankly, into assholes. Like for real. And we start acting out of character. We're like, oh my God, I can't even believe I said that. Oh my God. Like that is so not me. I can't believe I did that. And we blame ourselves. Ooh, we blame ourselves mercilessly. And I just want to dispel so much of that right now because when a brain is stressed, it is deceptive. And manipulative, and you will do things out of character and think there is something wrong with you. When the reality is you just have a stressed brain and we try to use willpower. We promise we're never going to act like that. Again. We swear we're never going to do it again. And something happens and we're raging again. We're angry. We're frustrated. We're short-tempered, we're impatient. And the cycle starts all over again. And so a huge part of mind management is the nervous system management. So I want you to consider these two things in your life. How is it that your mind and your thoughts are directing your life, prove to yourself, do this for yourself. Look at a result in your life and dial it back to the emotions and the thoughts that were taking place at the time that led to that result, prove this to yourself, or look at situations or circumstances in your life. And look at the way that you're thinking about them and the way that you're, you know, what's the emotional tone, if you will, emotional state that goes along with those thoughts related to that situation. And how does that influence your actions or inaction or reactions when you get really curious about this? Because I think a key part of this is convincing yourself. That your mind has everything to do with your experience of your life. So consider it really examine this, like poke holes at it. Look at this and determine for yourself. Has my mind been mismanaged? And is this why I. Mismanaged outcomes in my life. And for many of my clients, all of my clients, including myself, I was so frustrated because here I was trying so hard to manage my mind. I knew my mind was powerful. I knew my mind was causing me stress. And I knew it had magnificent power within it. And I just could not figure out how for so many decades, this thing had been my ally, my willpower, I will powered my way through a God knows what? And suddenly I couldn't keep my cool at the dinner table. I was burning relationships and burning bridges and There was like a fire burning within me. I was literally burning and I thought it was. I was fundamentally flawed. Something within me was broken and it couldn't be further from the truth. I was, a human being running on human neurocircuitry. And until I started training my nervous system, which I didn't discover until I was invited to pray and meditate ends up being like some of the best advice you can give somebody. But now I have a process and a system and have found technology. That allows my clients to know in real time, in the Palm of their hand, that they are in fact, moving out of a sympathetic state and into a parasympathetic dominant state. This has changed my life. And I want you to know about it. Because until you balance your nervous system and tell you, allow all of the metabolic resources, the blood flow, the glucose metabolism, and tell you can move that out of the survival reptilian part of your brain and move it into your prefrontal cortex, where all of your decision making capacity is where your ability to process and integrate information is where your ability to lift your highest values, commitments, and goals in your life. Until you have access to that part of the brain, you are going to be beating up on yourself, unnecessarily my friend, stop, stop managing the thing that doesn't need to be managed, manage your nervous system so you can manage your mind for real, for real. So change your life. And there are multiple ways to go about doing this. Find your own, find your own way of doing this or join me. You got space. I got space for you. I'll make space. We've got the smart program rolling out in a few months time, and this is a game changer. My client's lives are changing. I want to see your life change. I see my life changing. This is the best game in town. When you know how to manage your own mind, you move into the seat of power of your whole life. You can truly transform stress into fuel for living your best. And I want to see that happen for you. So stop trying to manage your time. Stop trying to manage your finances. Stop trying to manage your drinking and manage your eating and manage your temper and manage your anger and manage other people and start managing the one thing. That determines the outcome of your life. And that is your mind, your beautiful, brilliant, powerful mind, and to gain access to that. We need a balanced, coherent, nervous system. There are so many ways to do it my way. Isn't the only way I just think my way is the most effective, efficient and sustainable one. Which is why I use it and teach it and share it. But there are many ways find yours run with it. Can't wait to see what happens for you. When you do this work, it's going to change your life. And I want to hear about it. You can send me an email, Tammy T a M I at Dr. Tammy Barry doc. Or send me a message. Find me Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. I'm on the socials trying to be anyways. I'm here for you. I'm so grateful. You're here to tuning in because honestly I do believe that this is the key to everything that you want in life. It is through managing your own mind. You don't have to enter that territory alone. And you certainly want to equip yourself with all of the skills and the strategies that you need to be able to do it. Cause you are not broken. You are human with a human nervous system and a human brain. And it's time that we use these things to our advantage. We can evolve them and evolve ourselves beyond where we are. Because the one thing I know for sure, for sure is that stress is the number one driver of evolution, growth and expansion, and we've made it mean something is wrong with us instead of recognizing this is here for us, for our growth, for our evolution, for our expansion. That's my wish for you, for me, for us. We can do it together. So happy you're here have a great week and I will catch you next time.
